ABOUT ME

Hello!

IMG_2058.jpg

My name is Wiebke and I'm a psychologist, certified MBSR trainer and certified intercultural trainer. My husband and I are living in Eindhoven with our three daughters and our dog Kimi. We came to the Netherlands in 2016 and are originally from Germany. Before landing in the Netherlands we already lived in Japan for 4 years, in Australia for 4 years and in China for 5 years.

I've always loved exploring foreign cultures and believe living in different countries with diverse cultures has made me more mindful of behaviours and interactions with people from all over the world.

When my oldest daughter experienced intense stress at school and later developed an unrelated neurological headache condition, I stumbled upon a Mindfulness Stress Reduction Training (MBSR). Together with my daughter we completed the MBSR Training. I started meditating regularly and noticed that I perceived certain difficulties differently than I had before. Prior to the training it was easy for people to irritate me and push my buttons. Now I find that it is much easier for me to stay in difficult situations without having to be in control of it. The experience had such an impact on me that I decided to become a MBSR trainer myself. I've started my teacher training with the Mindful Academy Solterreno and finished it with the Centrum voor Mindfulness in Amsterdam. Since then I'm also trained in Individual MBSR coaching and attended a workshop from David Treleaven for trauma sensitive mindfulness.

After the training I have given various group trainings and individual coaching sessions, and  I have also worked with the International School Eindhoven giving workshops to teachers and an 8 week training to students.

People often ask me: "Does it really work?" My answer is simply mindfulness profoundly changed my life. It not only changed how I feel in stressful situations and how I behave but also my relationship with the environment and my impact on the planet.
