Yoga@PositiveMind
Hello,
My name is Euying Chong and I’m a certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher. I am originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and have been living in the Netherlands since 2009. I have been practicing yoga since my early 20s and yoga is a part of my life.
Jivamukti Yoga is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings. It is a yoga method developed by Sharon Gannon and David Life in the early 80s which incorporates the physical and spiritual practices together. The method is based on five tenets - Ahimsa (non harming), Bhakti (devotion), Shastra (learning of scriptures, philosophy), Nada (music, mantra, vibrational sound), and Dhyana (Meditation).
I plan to start a block of 10 classes of which the first half will emphasize Standing postures and Balances, and the second half will emphasize Forward Bending postures. I feel that it is important for you to experience a trial lesson before you decide whether this class is for you. It is free of charge. The trial class will be held here at Positive Mind, Grasleeuwerik 23, on 31 March, Friday at 10.30am-11.30am. We only have enough space for 10, so if you are really interested, please send me an email at openheartmindyoga@gmail.com to register your spot. Class begins at 10.30am sharp, so please arrive slightly earlier so that you can settle onto your spot. There are yoga mats and meditation cushions available, but if you feel more comfortable with your own mat, feel free to bring them along. You will also need to bring a blanket (to keep warm at the end) and a yoga block (if you have one). The trial class is suitable for all levels, yes, including beginners.
See you there!
Euying
